DE FEIS ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY
USCF Executive Director George De Feis, injured in an auto accident 10 days ago, continues his improvement. He has been able to speak to USCF leaders and employees on the phone for several minutes, reportedly making a joke to the effect that after losing his first four games at the US Amateur Team, he decided anything was better than returning to play the final two rounds. He has been moved from the hospital to a rehabilitation center, and it sounds likely that he will be able to return to work, but doctors have not yet expressed an opinion regarding when.
